Introduction: Conservative Party of Canada (CPC)
Parti conservateur du Canada (PCC)

The Conservative Party of Canada ( Parti conservateur du Canada), commonly just called the "Conservative Party," or "Tories," is one of the largest political parties in Canada. It was formed in 2003 by combining the Progressive Conservative Party (PCP) and the Canadian Alliance (earlier known as the Western Canadian-based Reform Party). It is a center-right party that advocates for smaller government, lower taxes, and a stronger economy. The CPC has traditionally been the main rival to the Liberal Party of Canada, and it has held power at the federal level on several occasions. The party has a significant number of members and supporters across Canada.
Historically the modern CPC is political heir to a series of Tory parties that have existed in Canada and participated in numerous governments, under multiple names, beginning with the Upper Canada Tories in the nineteenth century. In 1942 the main right-wing Canadian Tory party was the Progressive Conservative Party (PCP). They would later merged with the Reform Party of Canada (RPC) to become the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC). They have evolved quite a bit over the past years. The PCs were quite different from the CPC - in fact quite a few of their MPs went over to the Liberals when that merger happened, but they remain one of the largest Canadian parties.

An Official Conservative Party Flag?

There is no official Flag for the Conservative Party of Canada. The party seems to favor the use of the Canadian National Maple Leaf Flag to represent them, but occasionally one sees party logos and other symbols featured on flags. These Conservative Party flags are not official, but the work of some of its members or supporters who either privately or commercially produce them to show their support for the party.
Note: On the official website the Conservative Party of Canada does offer downloadable public domain images of their current logos and symbols.

These commercial Conservative Party of Canada offerings use a slightly modified maple leaf either in red or white. Strangely enough they are also offered in a varied of background field colors, many of which are not even in white or in shades of blue. One wonders how they are even related to the CPC with non-party colors.
